Hello everybody! We are European volunteers in the association International Youth Volunteering Center in Haskovo in the South of Bulgaria. Every year, new volunteers arrive from all Europe to work with children (artistic activities, sport...) during one year approximately. Martinitsis
Martinitsa is a bulgarian tradition : with white and red (colors for good health) threads, you can do some bracelets, bobbles or little dolls with wool and offer its to your friend the first of march for the "baba marta" day (grand-mother Martha). She is a difficult and embittered woman, you have to offer her martinitsis to make her more happy and she can makes something so that the spring comes earlier.
